1. Visual Inspection​

Conduct a thorough visual check of the unit’s exterior and the surrounding area for any obstructions that could hinder deployment.​

2. Housing & Power Test​

Open the housing door and cut power to the unit (via the PCB rocker switch or control box) to verify the door functions correctly during deployment.

3. Deployment Verification​

We then deploy the screen to ensure it reaches the ground smoothly and at a speed within the NFPA 80 standard (around 6 to 24 inches per second).

4. Component Review​

While the system is deployed, visually inspect all internal components, including the screen material, magnets, cables, pulleys, motor, limit switches, and PCBs.

5. Motor & Retraction Check​

Restore power and allow the curtain to retract while listening for any unusual motor noise under load.

6. Functionality Testing

Test auxiliary systems such as the Screen Retract System (SRS), wall-mounted switches, or edge sensors (if equipped) to ensure they trigger immediate and correct responses.

7. Adjustment & Lubrication

Lubricate pulleys, bearings, or door hinges as needed and make minor adjustments to limit switches or screen alignment.

8. Final Reset

Cycle the system one final time after all adjustments are complete to confirm it resets to a “green” or ready status.

9. Site Cleanup

Clean all surfaces, including rails and the housing interior, and vacuum the surrounding area to remove debris.
