Project Profile
TCU Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences

Fire and smoke curtain systems engineered for code-compliant protection.
About the Project
TCU’s Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences is a
leading medical education facility in Fort Worth,
supporting advanced training for one of the nation’s top
nursing programs. The Annie Richardson Bass Building
needed a reliable, code-compliant opening protective
after existing competitor systems failed to perform.
Smoke Guard’s M2500F fire + smoke resistant curtain
systems replaced those unreliable assemblies with eight (8) large units installed throughout various openings within the building atrium. The solution delivers dependable,
passive fire and smoke protection ideal for high occupancy educational spaces.
Design Solution
The M2500F system provided TCU with a modern, code-compliant alternative to unreliable and outdated competitor fire systems. Its SGTex30 fabric, 3-hour rating, and Intertek listings ensured the university met all requirements for opening protectives in a high-occupancy university environment.
